Gluten Free Romance

Gluten Free in Paris

I recently traveled to Paris on vacation with my husband. As someone with celiac disease, I worried it'd be hard to find good gluten free food in the land of the baguette. We did run across a few establishments where going wheat free was an alien concept, but we also found dedicated gluten free restaurants that more than satisfied my craving for pastries, sandwiches, and even pizza!

HELMUT NEWCAKE

Pastries and light lunch options. Includes a number of lactose free foods too! Best of all, everything is gluten free. I had a yummy tart with pistachios and strawberries.

Gluten free sandwiches, pastries, and more with three locations in Paris and one in New York City. I got a delicious grilled cheese sandwich and enjoyed every GF bite.

LITTLE NONNA

I was thrilled to discover this little gem of a pizzeria where the pizza, pasta, and bread is all gluten free. I had a spicy tomato pie with salami and mozzarella. Bon appetit!

I love to write romance. I also loved to eat pastries, pasta, and bread. In 2017 I was diagnosed with celiac disease, meaning I'm allergic to the gluten found in wheat, rye, and barley. No more pastries, pasta,  or bread for me. :-(

Or so I thought. Now I'm on a quest for the best in gluten free dining.
